About The Role
This post is for a Healthcare Support Worker within the X-ray and DXA team at Dewsbury and District Hospital. The position involves working on a rotation basis mainly on evenings (17-23:00) or weekends, typically 8.30-16:00 or 16-23:00. The shift pattern usually follows 5 shifts on, 7 off, then 4 shifts on, 5 off.

* Monday 3rd: 17-23:00
* Tuesday 4th: 17-23:00
* Wednesday 5th: 17-23:00
* Friday 7 days off
* Thursday 13th: 17-23:00
* Friday 14th: 17-23:00
* Saturday 15th: 8.30-16:00 or 16-23:00
* Sunday 16th: 8.30-16:00 or 16-23:00
* 5 days off before next block
Main Duties
To work under the direction of a registrant (usually a radiographer) and participate fully in the delivery of planned/acute care for patients attending the radiology service for treatment/investigations. Provide general support in the X-ray and DXA team, including 1-1 patient‑centred care, assisting with changing, cleaning, tidying the department, supporting patients through examinations, and performing some administrative/clerical roles.
