Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Marketing Assistant to support our marketing function. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about digital marketing and communications to play a key role in raising our brand profile, engaging our customers, and supporting our sales network. The successful candidate will work closely with the MD, Sales Director and wider team to deliver impactful campaigns and clear marketing communication across multiple channels.


Key Responsibilities


Social Media

* Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Pinterest
* Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and engage with our online community.
* Track social media performance metrics and produce regular reports with insights and recommendations.
* Stay up to date with social media trends and suggest creative ideas to grow our following and engagement.
* Provide monthly reports on agreed KPI’s.


Website Management

* Update and maintain the company website with new product listings, blog posts, promotions, and relevant content.
* Ensure website content is accurate, on‑brand, and optimised for search engines (SEO).
* Liaise with the web developer as required to resolve technical issues or implement updates.
* Monitor website analytics and provide monthly performance reports.


Customer & Sales Agent Liaison

* Act as a point of contact for customer enquiries received through marketing channels, ensuring timely and professional responses.
* Support the sales team by preparing marketing collateral, product information packs, and promotional materials for sales agents.
* Assist in coordinating trade shows, events, and customer‑facing activities.


General Marketing Support

* Assist in the creation of email marketing campaigns and newsletters.
* Support the development of printed and digital marketing materials.
* Carry out competitor and market research as directed.
* Provide general administrative support to the marketing department as required.


Person Specification


Essential

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Experience managing social media accounts in a professional or academic context.
* Confident using content management systems (CMS) to update websites.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* A proactive, can‑do attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.


Desirable

* A degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
* Familiarity with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
* Understanding of SEO principles and Google Analytics.
* Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or similar.
* Previous experience in a B2B environment.
