Job Overview
We are looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Childminding Assistant to join our friendly setting. you will work closely with the Childminder to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn and thrive.
Responsibilities
* Support the Childminder in supervising and engaging children in fun, educational and creative activities.
* Ensure children are safe, happy and well cared for at all times.
* Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities, including educational games, arts and crafts, and both indoor and outdoor play.
* Assist with daily routines, including toilet training and nap times
* Help and assist in preparing meals and snacks, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
* Maintain a clean and organized environment, including tidying toys, cleaning surfaces, and ensuring health & safety standards.
* Build positive relationships with children, parents, and carers
* Providing support to the smooth running of school drop-offs or pick-ups.
* Contribute to record keeping, observations and learning journals as required.
Requirements
* Experience working with children (personal or professional e.g. volunteering, babysitting, relatives)
* A genuine passion for working with young children
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Reliability, patience and a caring nature.
* Willingness to undertake training and development
* First Aid certification is highly desirable but not mandatory at the time of application
Desirable (but not essential)
* Driving license
* Pediatric First Aid qualification
* Knowledge of EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage)
* Level 2/3 Childcare qualification
