The role will work closely with operations personnel and central accountants to ensure accurately reported financial information.The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player, able to prioritise workloads, with the ability to communicate effectively.Key responsibilities:Maintenance of the Weekly P&L and supporting filesCompletion of daily reporting such as revenue, cost and volumesActively participate in the preparation of the Depot's budgetsPrepare the depots' management accounts so that the operational management team are able to properly assess the financial performance of that location, region or nationallyAnalysing and understanding variance to budget and prior periods; highlighting any potential areas of concerns to the appropriate peopleMust be willing and able to visit the depots around the country and assist in training non-financial staff to better use and complete the existing reportsPreparation of monthly accruals and prepayment schedulesMonthly balance sheet reconciliationsActively participate in various ad-hoc projectsMeasures:Adherence to Weekly timetable in production of the weekly P&L'sPreparation of depot budgets and forecasts to agreed timetablesNo evidence of significant variances from budget not reported to Financial Controller on a timely basisAccuracy and consistency in delivering monthly management accountsKnowledge, Skills and Experience:Strong excel skills including working with large amounts of data.Ideally, minimum 1-2 years' experience in finance function; preferably studying for professional examsThe candidate would ideally have experience of supporting non-finance individualsUsed to working to and achieving tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.Some experience of management accountsFinancial systems experience desirableDriving licencePersonal Specifications:Keen eye for detailTenacity to ensure business unit timetables are met'Quality in everything we do, get it right first time' attitudeStrong communication skills are essentialHave strong analytical and organisational skills and a questioning approachBe a team player with ability to follow procedures and guidelines to achieve successful team outcomesWe look forward to hearing from you!TPBN1_UKTJ
