Newbury Manor School is recruiting for a Catering Assistant to join their catering team! We are looking for passionate people who can support the provision of catering operations by assisting with basic food preparation and hygiene, promoting healthy eating, and contributing to the wellbeing of our children and young people.
In this role, you will, under direction, take responsibility for parts of the catering operation, ensure the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards, and comply with the Company's Assured Safe Catering Policies and Procedures. You will also assist the Chef with both the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with these policies.
Hours to be completed between 7am and 2pm.

Newbury Manor School is a specialist school for young people aged 7 to 19 with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD). Our tailored approach supports students with a wide range of needs, from those who are broadly average to those with more severe learning difficulties.

Previous experience in meal preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen is advantageous but not essential. All applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
Main duties:
* Assist with the preparation and cooking of meals following the company’s Safe Catering policies and procedures.
* Under direction, take responsibility for specific parts of the catering operation.
* Ensure the kitchen and related areas meet hygiene standards and comply with policies.
