Overview

Join to apply for the Analyst - Water Chemistry role at Eurofins Food & Water Testing UK & IE.

37.5 Hours per week. Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 - 18:00.

Responsibilities

* Prepare, extract and analyse samples in accordance with standards of quality.
* Preparation of calibration and quality standards to check instrument performance.
* Reporting and / or calculation of results in accordance with methods of analysis.
* Plotting and acting upon quality control data produced per batch.
* Maintain turnaround time at >95%, ensuring that daily targets are achieved.
* Maintain stock levels of consumable items for methods being undertaken.
* Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
* Work with the team to drive the laboratory forward through continuous improvement.
* Knowledge of Laboratory Quality Manual in order to ensure compliance at all times with the policies, procedures and associated documents which are referred to in the manual.
* To assist through operating best practice in order to meet the requirements of the UKAS 17025 accreditation standard.
* Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.


Qualifications

* Science degree; or equivalent qualification; or significant laboratory experience
* Production experience
* Maths and English at GCSE C or above or equivalent
* Knowledge of ISO 17025.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Laboratory experience gained through higher education project
* Good laboratory skills and practices
* Enthusiasm, energy and a driven outlook.
* Excellent communication skills
* Excellent organisational skills
