Job Purpose
We have an exciting opportunity for a Document Controller to define, implement, and govern a robust document control system within James Fisher Renewables (JFR). This role ensures efficient management and secure handling of all documentation related to our Integrated Management System and specific projects, contributing to operational effectiveness and compliance. By maintaining accurate and accessible documentation, the Document Controller plays a crucial role in enhancing customer satisfaction and service quality.
Principal Accountabilities
* Conducting audits of existing documentation to implement a comprehensive Document Management System (DMS).
* Maintaining and continuously improving the DMS, leading change initiatives.
* Ensuring contractual document control deliverables are met.
* Providing document control services at both the IMS level and on specific projects.
* Registering and controlling project documentation within the DMS with a traceable audit trail.
* Ensuring documents are correctly signed off by authorized personnel.
* Managing structure and permissions on the JFR SharePoint System.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in document control and administration within an engineering environment, preferably in offshore wind, oil and gas, or electrical utilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and IT practices; familiarity with Power Automate is a plus.
* Experience with Electronic Document Management Systems (DMS).
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to respond swiftly to requests and manage information flow.
* Auditing skills for verifying document accuracy and compliance.
* Ability to influence at all organizational levels.
* Experience maintaining document history and ensuring authentication.
* Understanding of Document Security, Legal Admissibility, GDPR, and compliance standards.
* Experience in data reporting and tracking.
