Purpose of Role
We’re looking for a Canteen Assistant to join our small, friendly team at VINCI’s offices in Widnes.
Job Description
If you enjoy working with food, keeping things running smoothly, and giving people a warm welcome at mealtimes, this could be the perfect role for you.
Working hours: - 3pm (Mon-Fri)
Responsibilities
•Helping prepare simple food and drinks (chopping, making sandwiches, etc.)
•Serving breakfast and lunch to staff in a polite and friendly way
•Keeping the canteen clean and tidy, including washing up and wiping down surfaces
•Setting up the dining area before service and clearing away afterwards
•Taking in deliveries, storing stock correctly, and keeping an eye on dates and supplies
•Following food hygiene and safety standards to keep everything spotless
Essential Qualifications/Skills
•Someone reliable, friendly, and happy to work as part of a small team
•Good communication skills and a positive attitude
•Catering or hospitality experience is helpful, but not essential – full training will be given
