HGV Class 1 Driver
We are looking for a Regional Class 1 HGV Driver based from any of our Scotland depots—Glasgow, Aberdeen, Edinburgh & Dundee—but providing cover for all depots and drivers across Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity to join the UK market leader in powered access. You will be required to travel and cover depots as needed across the region. Travel and accommodation arrangements will be paid for by the company when required.
As an HGV class 1 driver, we are looking for people with the correct licenses, a CPC card, and a passion for customer service. You should understand the importance of health and safety within an organization.
In return, you'll receive full training, a competitive salary of £32,500 plus a regional allowance of £4,000, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, life assurance, Westfield Health Insurance, auto-enrollment pension, and access to retail discounts.
Responsibilities include:
* Loading and unloading machines following company practices and using appropriate equipment.
* Maintaining security of loads during transit and delivery.
* Handover of machines to customers and familiarizing them with operation.
* Performing daily checks on vehicles and equipment.
* Complying with legislation regarding vehicle safety, tachographs, and working hours.
* Relaying customer queries to depot staff.
* Representing the company with high standards of customer care and politeness.
* Completing all relevant paperwork accurately.
About you:
* You must hold an HGV Class 1 license and a full CPC card.
* Willing to stay away from home approximately three nights per week (accommodation provided).
* Experience with low loader vehicles delivering plant or recovering vehicles is preferred, but full training can be provided.
* Understanding the importance of customer service as you will demonstrate equipment to customers.
* Knowledge of HGV vehicle safety and maintenance.
