An outstanding job opportunity has arisen for a committed Registered Mental Health Nurse to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Attleborough, Norfolk area. You will be working for one of UKs leading health care providers. This hospital is a large bedded mental health centre which provides care to adolescents and young adults, aged 12 upwards, who have complex needs, including acute mental illness and developmental disorders. To be considered for this position you must be qualified as an RMN Nurse with a current active NMC Pin.
Responsibilities
* Planning and reviewing care plans in partnership with patients
* Compiling positive risk management plans for individuals within an evidence based framework
* Contribute to pre-admission assessment of referred patients
* Adhere at all times to the NMC code of professional conduct
* Maintain health, safety, and security within legislative requirements and in adherence to identified standards and local policy
* Operate effectively as a team member
* Contribute to the development of others within the team, and act as associate mentor supporting students and newly qualified nurses
Qualifications and Skills
* Qualified RMN with a current active NMC pin
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work flexibly
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills
* Basic knowledge of general mental health issues
* Appreciation of mental health problems
* Secure care experience/CAMHS an advantage
* Experience of interdisciplinary teamwork and coordination of care
* Experience of working with potentially aggressive and stressful situations
