The purpose of this Field Service Engineer role is to support the technical needs of Philips Imaging customers and customer service partners. Would you like the challenge to work both individually and as part of a wider team to install, maintain, and repair our technologically advanced imaging equipment?
This position is field-based, located in the South East (London) area, and is a field-based role.
You are responsible for:
* Operating at an advanced technical level to provide expert advice & solutions to our customers and colleagues.
* Providing field-based and remote technical support to customers and colleagues in line with relevant training and experience.
* Carrying out corrective, preventative, installation, and field change order activities on complex healthcare systems.
* Diagnosing mechanical, hardware, and software system failures using established procedures and information.
* Determining the most cost-effective repair/solution to minimize customer downtime.
* Actively participating in an ongoing rotation with the Field Service Engineer team, providing customers with direct remote support in a 5 by 7 working pattern.
You are a part of a regional team of collaborative Field Service Engineers, who are expected to work to the highest standards to ensure first-class service delivery to our customer base while adhering to Quality & Regulatory standards in this heavily regulated industry.
You will report directly to the District Service Delivery Manager.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following:
* HNC (NVQ Level 4) or Degree in Electro-engineering or equivalent (highly desirable)
* Experienced logical problem solver with the ability to work independently
* Experience in carrying out corrective and preventative works for Imaging Systems devices and equipment (desirable)
* The ability to process knowledge across multi-modality and diverse product ranges
* Ability to recognize new technologies and adapt to daily challenges
* Deliver high levels of customer service
* Competent in IT/Network diagnosis, system connectivity, and remote service (desirable)
* You are currently living in the South West region, ideally around London or South East.
