Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate internal repairs within the Engineering Operations team for Skynet
* Manage internal equipment repairs in accordance with test specifications in consultation with the Repairs Manager and the In-Service Support Manager and other departments within Babcock
* Look for opportunities to increase the scope and portfolio of the Triage & Repair facility in line with the Supportability strategy
* Conduct Triage & Repair (T&R) activities with aspects of test, repair and inspection of assured Skynet equipment where skills and knowledge allow on behalf of Team Aurora
* Manage workshop facilities ensuring the safe and efficient running of all repair resources and the quality of work produced adhering to health and safety policies and regulatory compliances
* Diagnose and confirm faults on equipment that has been returned from the user to ascertain the status using test specification documentation and record results
Role context
Day-to-day, you’ll report to the Remote Terminals Maintenance Manager, establishing and managing an internal equipment triage capability that improves equipment availability across Skynet.
Essential Experience
* Excellent knowledge of Radio Frequency sub-systems and digital data communications techniques and protocols
* In-Service Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment
* Windows PC Literate. Competent with MS Office Pro (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
* Experience of leading a team and being a subject matter expert sharing knowledge and expertise

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
