Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Kent. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. This role is suitable for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who prefer 1:1 tutoring in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approach.
Responsibilities
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Deliver flexible and holistic tutoring and mentoring to support educational and social-emotional development
* Plan each tutoring session and maintain engagement through holistic and engaging activities
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
Qualifications
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years of teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Experience and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* Based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, including for remote/online assignments
Employment status
* Engagements as a Worker on a contract-for-service basis, paid via PAYE
* Not a self-employed position; no guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
