What's the Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor wishing to progress their career in a supportive environment to join our cost management team. You will become part of our dynamic and collaborative team working together to achieve team success in the Leeds office and across our business nationwide. You will work closely with senior members team supporting the delivery of a variety of projects, sectors, clients and significant projects with the value ranging from £1m to in excess of £20m.
What you need to do to be effective in this role
1. Assisting with the day-to-day delivery of projects
2. Building relationships with clients, consultants and contractors
3. Assist with the preparation of cost estimates
4. Evaluate the cost of building designs and alternative proposals
5. Assist with the preparation, issue, evaluation and reporting of tenders
6. Attending and being actively involved in client and contractor meetings
7. Advise upon contract terms and the preparation of building contract documentation
8. Agreement of monthly valuations
9. Preparation of monthly cost reports
10. Valuing and agreeing post contract variations
