Main duties and responsibilities:
To participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment
To maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families, and others whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality
To support service users with meal preparation, laundry duties, cleaning, and social events
To maintain accurate notes and records as required
To work as part of a team to provide high-quality care
Personal Characteristics
Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards one
Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, and/or mental health issues
The ability to stay calm under pressure
Confidence to work alone or as part of a team
Passion to work with vulnerable adults
Commitment to achieving high standards of safeguarding

CareTech Community Services Ltd supports 5000 adults across more than 300 services in the UK, providing care for those with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism, challenging behaviour, mental health issues, forensic needs, and brain injuries. We promote independence and personal growth in community settings, including supported living, shared housing, residential services, and outreach programs.
Successful candidates will need to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure before starting, with costs covered by the employer.
