This Senior Buyer/ Category Manager for technology services vacancy can be offered as either a 6-month interim, or temp-to-perm opportunity, depending on your preference.This client of ours is a well-known financial institution who spends over £2 billion annually with external suppliers, who aim to drive high performance and sustainable value through their supply chain.Your new role
This role will primarily focus on supporting the Technology Category Director in order to execute key category strategies and managing ongoing supplier relationships. You will ensure delivery of key organisational processes and frameworks when ites to sourcing as well as SRM. You will lead sourcing and negotiation conversations with key suppliers in the technology space (mainly low-medium level spend) and ensure accurate tracking of contract renewals.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have prior experience with IT professional services sourcing. You will bemercially astute with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. If you have your CIPS qualification, or are working towards it, this would be advantageous. As this spend area is very oue-based, you will be familiar with these types of contracts, as well as agile SOW’s and SLA’s.
