Installation & Service Engineer (Workshop & Site-Based)
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum
Hull-based with UK & International Travel
Full Driving Licence Essential

The Opportunity
We're recruiting for an experienced and hands‑on Installation & Service Engineer to join a well‑established and growing engineering team. This role offers a great balance between workshop‑based work in Hull and working away on installations, with an approximate 50/50 split. You'll play a key role within the installation team while also supporting service and maintenance activities across customer sites.
What You'll Be Doing
* Carrying out mechanical installation and assembly work both in‑house and on‑site
* Supporting full equipment installs across the UK and overseas
* Assisting with servicing, maintenance, and repairs of equipment
* Diagnosing faults and delivering effective, timely solutions
* Reading and interpreting engineering and electrical drawings
* Supporting basic electrical panel wiring and panel build work
* Conducting site surveys, install checks, and commissioning activities
* Working collaboratively within the shopfloor team in Hull
* Delivering a high level of customer service when on‑site
* Completing job reports and documentation accurately
* Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety standards
What We're Looking For
* Strong mechanical engineering background
* Previous experience in installation and/or service engineering roles
* Confident fault‑finding and problem‑solving ability
* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
* A professional, reliable, and experienced approach to work
* Good communication skills and ability to liaise with customers
* Flexible and willing to work away from home when required
* Electrical knowledge or experience (advantageous but not essential)
Travel & Working Pattern
* Approximately 50% workshop‑based (Hull) and 50% working away
* UK travel with regular overnight stays (Monday‑Friday when required)

Additional Requirements
* Full UK Driving Licence required
