Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Pay: £125-£130 per day
Full-time/ Term Time only
Ilford, Essex
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive and forward-thinking school team for Art cover 2 Days a week. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting teachers, leading learning activities, and helping to raise pupil achievement across the school.
Higher Level Teaching Assistant Role:
* Deliver high-quality support to pupils, including those with additional needs, both in groups and individually
* Lead lessons and learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher
* Manage classroom resources and maintain a positive learning environment
* Support assessment and feedback processes to track pupil progress
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies
* Provide cover for classes when required
Higher Level Teaching Assistant Requirements:
* HLTA status or equivalent qualification
* Experience working in a school environment supporting children aged 11 to 17 years.
* Ability to lead learning activities confidently
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patience, empathy, and a commitment to inclusive education
* Good organisational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
