About you
As a Support Officer, you will be at the heart of our mission, working directly with young people aged 16-25 who have experienced social exclusion. Your role will involve:
Responsibilities
* Case Management: Provide personalized support and guidance to help young people live independently within the community.
* Life Skills Development: Assist young people in gaining essential life skills, education, qualifications, training, and employment opportunities.
* Community Integration: Foster a sense of belonging and independence among the youth.
* Work closely with Children\s Services, families, and both statutory and voluntary agencies.
* Deliver housing-related support in line with our policies and the Supporting People Quality Assessment Framework (QAF).
* Assist with Ofsted and Foyer Federation annual audits.
* Conduct quarterly support plan meetings, risk assessments, and regular key work meetings.
* Prioritize educational, training, and employment outcomes for NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) youth.
* Lead Team Around a Child (TAC) or Team Around a Young Person (TAYP) meetings.
* Implement and support resettlement plans.
* Proven experience working with young people aged 16-25.
* Knowledge of housing and personal benefits.
* Experience with complex support needs.
* Proactive and enthusiastic approach to interacting positively with young people.
* Ability to work independently in an open environment.
* Excellent IT skills and flexibility to adapt to new systems.
* Ability to develop a specialist task.
* A valid driving license and a private vehicle for work use.
Working pattern
Working pattern (various shifts): Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: Early shift 8am–4pm; Thursday: Late shift 12–8pm; Friday: Late 12–8pm.
