Switchshop Limited is a successful, growing company specialising in network design implementation and support, including;
* network infrastructure (wired and wireless)
* servers, storage, backup
* data centre infrastructure and
* security devices, firewalls, etc.
We are a value-added reseller for several major IT manufacturers, including HPE / Aruba (Platinum) Fortinet (Expert), Ruckus (Elite), Sonicwall (Gold) and Splicecom selling network and data centre infrastructure and providing technical design, installation and support services to customers.
The company was established in 2000 and has grown consistently ever since. We currently have circa 90 employees split primarily between sales staff and engineers, operating mainly from our offices in St Albans, with offices also in Kimpton, Hertfordshire and Glasgow.
Switchshop operates an inhouse 9am until 5pm service desk supporting our customer base. As well as an on call 24x7 service to a specific subset of customers. Focused technologies on the service desk include Fortinet, Aruba, Ruckus and Sonicwall. We also offer training to provide support and fault-finding knowledge on our preferred VoIP platform which is Splicecom.
Job Specification
We are looking for a Technical Service Delivery Assistant to join our in-house services team in providing support to our customer base.
Responsibilities Include:
* Managing bookings for our engineering team, both pre and post sales
* Ensuring return of signed scoping docs from customers
* Liaising with customers over dates for bookings
* Booking hotels and flights for engineering team
* Support and scoping for project managers
* Dealing with scoping requests, including write up and delivery to customer
* Following up with engineering for return of RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements)
* Risk Assessments
* Delivery of cabling test results to customers
* Managing equipment booking survey kit & library
You will also be supporting the help desk team as and when required, with duties to include:
* Call triaging (including config creation and initial prioritisation allocation)
* Reviewing ticket statuses and updating internal and external contacts
* Pro Monitoring / Managed Firewalls - checking on tickets raised and assignments
Person Specification
You must be adaptable to change in a fast-paced and varied work environment, with the ability to prioritise tasks.

Experience in a similar role would be helpful but is not a requirement. The successful applicant will receive full in-house training.
Full driving licence and car is essential due to engineering office location and poor public transport links. this role
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
