Aspire Young Persons Connect is a new service across the Aspire Wellbeing Group. We will be delivering Regulated Supported Living Accommodation for Young People aged 16-21 in our 24/7 homes and semi support options in our independent living homes. A new and exciting role has become available in the Dipton area of Durham to join us as the Registered Service Manager for a 6 bedded Supported Living home for 16–21-year-olds. The Registered Service Manager you will also have oversight of the two 3 bedded independent homes close by who will support young people 18 – 21.
As this is the first of our supported living home seeking registration you will be in a fortunate position of being able to start the service off on the right foot, shaping and influencing the strength-based way in which we work. We have ambitious plans in place to develop further services at pace so you will quickly be joined by your peers from across supported living and children residential. It is an exciting time to join us as we shape and embed how we practice and support young people to be the very best version of themselves through the support we offer.
Role Overview:

We believe in providing young people with positive role models and a dedicated, relational, and experienced team around them to create an environment where everyone feels supported to contribute to a service which evolves to meet the needs of young people. As the Registered Service Manager, you will role model this and build a culture and home where this happens across all we do. It is important to us that everything we do is with kindness and compassion, even when the everything is tough at times.
You will be motivated by and have a wealth of practice experience and strategies for working with and leading others to work with young people aged 16 plus who need support. You will also have had experienced of developing systems and tools to support young people in their preparation for independence and risk reduction strategies to ensuring young people are safeguarded from harm. You will have a proven track record on leading and motivating team and having worked directly with young people in regulated services who can present with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including challenging behaviours who are seeking their independence through into adulthood.
You will have a wealth of knowledge and experience in respect of safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
You will know how to work closely with partners, community services and other professionals to get the very best service for young people and to ensure the fabric of the home(s) are maintained to a high standard, where anyone of us would be proud to live in.
As an experienced manager you will have clear practice-based knowledge of the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and Quality Standards. This will include how to put in place clear systems and processes that ensures compliance, regular monitoring of the progress of young people, the team and overall, the supported living home(s) in line except for the regulator and other quality assurance systems in place, across the Aspire Young People Connect Service.
Some of the requirements:
· Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent or be willing to achieve this within 12 months from registering on the award.
· Must have worked for a period of at least two years in a management position relevant to the residential support of children or adults and be able to meet the requirements for the fit persons as outlined in the Supported Living (England) Regulations 2023.
· You will be expected to work onsite from the supported living home. Your usual working pattern will be Monday to Friday office hours however you will also have to have the ability to work flexible hours and participate in an on-call rota as required.
· A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
