We are looking for an exceptional Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our teams in Birmingham or Nottingham. Projects range in value up to £20m+ with high‑profile clients, offering a diverse and exciting workload. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic, sociable office and advance your career.
Your Role
* Lead and manage the commercial aspects of commissions and projects, including governance, fee management, internal job costings and resource requirements.
* Take a hands‑on approach to client relationships and service delivery, working with project management, health & safety, building surveying and consult teams.
* Generate repeat and new business opportunities, applying quality assurance and environmental management principles.
* Manage assistant and graduate colleagues, conducting performance reviews and providing mentoring and coaching.
* Support procurement strategies, prepare cost plans, bills of quantity, tender documents, and post‑contract services.
* Provide site presence as required and assist in the development of junior staff.
About You
* Team player with extensive experience on major projects for private and public sector clients.
* Working knowledge of NEC contracts and project procurement options.
* Commercially aware, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proficient with Office, Outlook, BIM/CAD measurement and cost planning software (e.g., CATO).
* Self‑motivated, able to work independently and influence others using sound judgement.
* Drive to deliver high‑quality professional services and to grow a professional network.
