We are seeking a full-time Garden Centre Assistant Manager to join our team at Mayfield Garden Centre.
The Role
As the Garden Centre Assistant Manager, you will oversee all indoor garden centre areas, working closely with the Garden Centre Manager and Plant Area Manager. Your responsibilities include providing duty management cover, achieving sales and profit targets, motivating your team, and ensuring high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily operations including stock levels, merchandising, and customer service.
* Inspire your team to create attractive product displays with accurate POS materials.
* Develop team skills in customer service, merchandising, and product knowledge.
* Handle administrative and back-office tasks.
* Support warehouse operations and goods receipt processes.
* Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
Ideal Candidate
* Experienced retailer with leadership skills and a passion for gardening products.
* Proven retail management experience with team coaching abilities.
