Job Description: SCADA Testing Specialist for Power Utility Transmission Networks
We are seeking an experienced professional with a background in SCADA projects for Power utility transmission networks, focusing on Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT).
Responsibilities:
* Proficiency in OAT processes for SCADA systems, ensuring system stability and readiness for production deployment.
* Deep understanding of SCADA architecture, system operations, and communication protocols such as IEC 61850, DNP3, and Modbus.
* Validate system performance, resilience, and operational functionality through analytical testing.
* Collaborate within ART Teams Scrum, including Product Owners and SCADA SMEs/Business testers, to ensure comprehensive capture of test requirements through User Stories and Test Cases.
* Monitor and report on test preparation and execution progress using JIRA/XRAY, adhering to defined processes.
* Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues related to testing activities.
* Develop and implement action plans to address issues, leading problem-solving activities as necessary.
* Ensure testing is conducted following a standardized approach, managed within central Test Tools, aligned with the Test Strategy, Approach, and Test Plans.
Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
* Experience working on at least one SCADA project for Power Utility in testing roles.
* Conduct OAT to validate system stability, reliability, and operational compliance pre-go-live.
* Test backup, failover, and disaster recovery scenarios to ensure system robustness.
* Document test results, identify issues, and collaborate with stakeholders for resolution.
* Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies.
* Proficiency with test management tools such as JIRA or HP-ALM.
* Excellent client-facing skills and stakeholder communication, with the ability to work effectively with Product Owners, Product Managers, Development, Testing, and Implementation teams.
* Exposure to projects involving Agile methodologies is highly desirable.
