Overview

What we are looking for? We are looking for Digital Healthcare ACPs who are able to commit to a minimum of 16 hours a week to provide virtual consultations via our intuitive platform, delivering high quality care to our patients. As an ACP, you will confidently assess, diagnose, and treat patients on our digital platform. You will work within your scope of professional practice at all times being responsible and accountable for your decisions and actions in line with organisational policy. This includes active judgements when to seek support from senior colleagues. The responsibilities below reflect the four pillars of advanced practice and ACPs are expected to work against these standards. Salaried Sessions: We offer fixed shifts and sessions (minimum of 16 hours a week) that can be divided throughout the week based on your preferred hours, along with optional additional 'ad-hoc' shifts.


Responsibilities

* Assess, diagnose, and treat: Conduct comprehensive remote patient assessments, establish accurate diagnoses, and develop appropriate treatment plans remotely.
* Communicate effectively: Build rapport with patients through effective communication, demonstrating emotional intelligence and promoting a positive patient experience.
* Prescribe responsibly: Adhere to the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's "A Competency Framework for all Prescribers"
* Maintain professional standards: Adhere to the NMC/HCPC code of conduct and practice responsibly within scope.
* Understand limits, manage risk: Critically evaluate own competence and scope of practice, recognizing when complexity and uncertainty require escalation to senior colleagues.
* Maintain thorough documentation: Ensure accurate and timely recording of all consultations within patient health records.
* Education and Leadership Responsibilities: Engage in ongoing learning, participate in training, professional development, clinical meetings, and clinical supervision to enhance expertise. Facilitate peer development, manage workload, be a positive role model, and meet professional standards including NMC/HCPC revalidation.
* Research/Clinical Governance Responsibilities: Support quality improvement, learn from feedback and incidents, utilise research for improvement, and participate in appraisals as required by DCA.
* Safeguarding: Promote patient-centered practice, implement safeguarding protocols for children, young people, and vulnerable adults, and understand relevant Mental Health Legislation and escalation procedures.


Qualifications and Requirements

* Relevant registration with a professional body (NMC, HCPC, GPhC).
* Postgraduate diploma (Level 7) or Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice or RCN/H EE accreditation.
* Valid IR(ME)R certificate within the last 3 years.
* Fit Note (FIT) training certificate.
* Independent prescribing qualification.
* Minor illness training qualification (Desirable).
* Experience: Minimum 2 years as ACP with independent prescribing (post ACP qualification) in primary care/general practice within the last 5 years.
* Broad autonomous scope of practice in general practice aligned with Core Capabilities for Advanced Clinical Practice.
* Knowledge of national prescribing policies, clinical governance for remote/digital healthcare, and comfort with clinical IT systems (ideally Jira and Teams/Slack).
* Strong communication skills, evidence-based practice, and commitment to patient-centered care and ongoing professional development.
* Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and build relationships with stakeholders.


Working Hours and Remuneration

* Weekday Daytime (8am-6pm), Weekday Evening (6pm-10pm), Weekend/Bank Holiday.
* Sessional Rates (per annum based on 40 hours weekday/daytime FTE): From £60,169.30
* Weekday Daytime: £6,016.93; Weekday Evening: £6,618.63; Weekends/Bank Holidays: £7,281.51
* Hour rate: Weekday daytime £28.93; Weekday evening £31.82; Weekend/bank holiday £35.01
