Overview
Are you excited by the opportunity to make a difference to the roads of Greater Manchester and are looking to develop your career in road safety? TfGM oversees transportation in Greater Manchester and, through the multi-agency Partnership Safer Roads Greater Manchester (SRGM), we are committed to reducing deaths and injuries on Greater Manchester's roads. The Partnership conducts analysis, campaigns and other activities to promote awareness of road safety issues and to improve safety across the region.
Your Role
As a Collision Investigation Officer you will carry out Road Safety Audits for internal and external clients and identify future strategies. You will have experience in Collision Investigation and Road Safety Engineering, provide specialist collision prevention and intervention advice, disseminate best practice, and support the safety camera operation.
You will be expected to be proactively involved in continual professional development and training plans. This role offers an opportunity to work with a forward-thinking organisation pushing the barriers to transform lives and the economy of Greater Manchester.
What you’ll bring
This role requires you to contribute to the delivery of data analysis, data visualisation, production of intelligence, hotspot and root cause studies. You will objectively analyse a wide range of often complex data sources, produce and present succinct summaries, and collaborate with Greater Manchester stakeholders.
What you’ll do
What you do and how you do it is important in any role at TfGM. At TfGM, our behaviours bring to life our values of Deliver, Care and Adapt. This is a challenging environment where you will be supporting the SRGM Partnership in the delivery of data analysis, data visualisation and intelligence analysis.
