Farrow & Ball - Technical Operator, Wimborne, Dorset
We have a number of exciting opportunities for an enthusiastic individuals to join our Operations team in Wimborne, Dorset as a Technical Operator. We are offering this position on a full‑time, permanent basis. This role will be based in our Warehouse Operation working a shift pattern 5am‑1pm or 6am‑2pm depending on preference.

A Technical Operator plays an important part in keeping the department running smoothly. In this role, you’ll make sure your area operates safely, efficiently, and to the expected standard. You’ll monitor output, support your team, and help keep everything on track throughout the shift.
You’ll work closely with other Technical Operators and team members, sharing resources when needed and supporting each other to meet daily goals. Maintaining a safe working environment is a key part of the job, along with helping to improve processes and finding better ways of working across production and the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
* Take responsibility for the smooth running and performance of a designated area within the warehouse.
* Monitor hourly and daily targets and share results with the team during the shift and daily briefings.
* Keep accurate records to help track performance and highlight issues or failures.
* Escalate problems quickly to your manager so they can be resolved before they impact the operation.
* Use the warehouse’s digital systems and software as required. (Training provided).
* Train team members on tasks within your area when needed.
* Be proactive to learning new skills to support your own development and future progression.
* Communicate clearly with colleagues across the required departments.
* Support continuous improvements in the warehouse by using basic problem‑solving and workplace organisation methods, such as MDI, 3C CSF and other improvement methods (training provided).
* Carry out other reasonable tasks that fit within the general responsibilities of the role and department.
