We are currently recruiting for a temporary inbound Customer Service Advisors to work for The Driving Standards Agency (DVSA) based at Quorum Business Park.
Working Monday to Friday you will be required to work 37 hours per week between 8am - 6pm. With a competitive hourly rate of £12.36 per hour, office hours and onsite car parking, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work within a government department.
The purpose of this role is to provide a quality support, advice and guidance service to both internal and external customers contributing to the improvement of road safety, environmental standards and the reduction of vehicle crime.
Assignment: Starting ASAP until 30th June with the possibility to extend
Rate of Pay: £12.36 per hour - Weekly pay
Hours: 37 per week, Monday - Friday
Location: Quorum Business Park, Newcastle - NE128AU
Working arrangements: Fully Office Based from Quorum Business Park
The role is to provide a quality support, advice and guidance service to both internal and external customers contributing to the improvement of road safety, environmental standards and the reduction of vehicle crime.
Duties include, but are not restricted to:
1. Handle inbound customer contact consisting of telephone calls and email correspondence
2. Deliver a consistent and productive service to both internal and external customers.
3. Ensure all administrative work is completed and recorded accurately.
4. Use information resources to support customer service.
5. Keep up to date with current procedures and practices.
6. Work effectively as part of a team, participate in team meetings and contribute towards staff engagement plan.
7. Promoting and respecting team working ethics by building good working relationships using co-operation and discussion.
8. Execute own responsibilities effectively and in line with DVSA policies and processes, ensuring that daily tasks and activities are delivered against agreed objectives.
9. Act with honesty and integrity upholding the reputation of the Agency, Department and Civil Service.
10. Where necessary work in collaboration with colleagues across all functions for the good of DVSA and to create a high performing and well-respected Agency.
11. Liaise with relevant internal departments to ensure customer needs are met
12. Ensure good relations and communications with all members of the team and responding politely and in a timely fashion to internal and external customers
13. Support the department by contribution towards the staff engagement plan.
Skills Required:
14. Good written and communication skills
15. Ability to handle challenging enquiries
16. Basic computer literacy skills e.g. keyboard, word processing skills and Microsoft applications
17. Prioritise workloads to aid productivity
18. Experience in a customer facing environment
19. Manage time effectively
