Senior Quantity SurveyorLocation: Portsmouth, HampshireSalary: Up to £75,000 + Car Allowance + BenefitsAn established and growing construction and property services contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team based in Portsmouth.With a strong reputation across the South of England, our client delivers a diverse portfolio of construction, refurbishment, planned maintenance and facilities projects for public and private sector clients. Operating across education, healthcare, local authority, defence, commercial and residential sectors, they continue to secure long-term frameworks and repeat business through the quality of their delivery.This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of projects while playing a key role within a supportive and forward-thinking business.Senior Quantity Surveyor The Role Reporting into the Commercial Manager, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple construction and refurbishment projects from pre-construction through to final account.The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will work closely with operational teams, clients, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered profitably whilst maintaining strong commercial controls throughout.Senior Quantity Surveyor Key Responsibilities Full commercial management of projects from inception to completionProcurement and management of subcontractors and suppliersPreparation and negotiation of subcontract agreementsCost reporting, forecasting and financial managementPreparation of monthly CVRs and cashflow forecastsManagement of variations, valuations and final accountsContract administration under JCT and NEC forms of contractManaging risk and protecting the commercial interests of the businessAttending client and project meetingsSupporting project delivery teams with commercial adviceBuilding and maintaining strong client and supply chain relationshipsAssisting with the development and mentoring of junior commercial staffSenior Quantity Surveyor Requirements Degree or HNC qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related disciplineProven experience operating at Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor levelStrong commercial and contractual knowledgeExperience managing construction, refurbishment, maintenance or public sector projectsWorking knowledge of JCT and NEC contractsStrong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities effectivelySenior Quantity Surveyor What's on Offer Competitive salary up to £80,000Car allowance and benefits packageSecure pipeline of work across long-term frameworksDiverse range of projects and sectorsSupportive and collaborative cultureGenuine career progression opportunitiesStable and financially secure business with an excellent reputationSenior Quantity Surveyor Apply Now This role would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to step into a senior position, or an established Senior Quantity Surveyor seeking a long-term opportunity with a well-regarded contractor delivering refurbishment, maintenance and construction projects across the South of England.If you are an ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge, we would like to hear from you.
