Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer – Hybrid- Contract- Glasgow
Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineers to join a leading Design and Engineering Company on a contract basis to deliver schemes throughout the Glasgow area within various sectors, including Nuclear and defence.
As a Senior Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing control systems and instrumentation solutions for various engineering projects.
The Ideal Candidate will need to have proven experience in control systems, instrumentation, and safety engineering, along with a Safety SQEP certification. The Senior C&I Engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and providing technical guidance to develop effective solutions. This role offers hybrid working, with 2 days per week on the client site in Glasgow.
Key Objectives:
* Support C&I engineering projects, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
* Provide technical expertise and guidance on control systems, instrumentation, and safety engineering.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective engineering solutions.
* Conduct assessments and audits to ensure adherence to safety standards and best practices.
* Develop and review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
* Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
* Identify and mitigate risks to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
* Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in C&I engineering.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
* Experience in C&I engineering.
* Safety SQEP (Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person).
* Professional engineering license (PE) preferred.
* Experience in critical infrastructure projects, such as defence or government facilities, is advantageous.
