Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated GP to join our team for 7 sessions per week. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to our 4,500 registered patients within a primary care setting.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, effective medical care to the Practice's registered population.
* Provide clinical services in accordance with the requirements of the GMS contract.
* Manage patients with long-term conditions effectively, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
* Adhere to best practice as defined by current clinical guidelines and participation in audit and quality assurance processes.
* Accept delegated responsibility for defined areas of practice or elements of the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF).
* Contribute effectively to the ongoing development and sustainability of the Practice, including involvement in clinical governance and training activities.
* Ensure full compliance with the annual appraisal process.
* Prepare for and successfully complete the revalidation process.
* Demonstrate a commitment to self-directed learning and promote a culture of continuing professional development across the practice team.
* Support and contribute to the education and training of medical students and learners from all clinical disciplines.
* Review, comply with, and consistently adhere to Practice protocols and policies.
* Promote collaborative working by liaising regularly with all members of staff and fostering a culture of openness, learning, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
* Essential: Qualified GP MRCGP Vocational Training Certificate or Equivalent General Practitioner
* On Medical Performers List
* Willing to undertake continuous personal development and ongoing mandatory training modules
Desirable
* Evidence of continued professional development
* Experience of appraisal in practice or other healthcare setting
* Additional clinical skills beyond General Practice

Experience
Essential
* Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within a primary care setting, managing patient consultations and patient records in line with GDPR and confidentiality requirements
* End of life care
* Providing support to the practice in relation to Safeguarding
* Prescribing safely in accordance with GMMG guidelines and best practice
* Refering patients for specialist care when appropriate
* Participation in and contribution to clinical audit work
* Demonstrate sound knowledge of QOF requirements and local targets, including immunisation programmes
* Ability to work independently, managing workload effectively and using clinical judgement appropriately
