Our company has been supplying and servicing nuclear power plant technology for more than six decades, including the most reliable and powerful turbine islands in operation. Our equipment is designed for a comprehensive range of reactor types and sizes, from very large reactors to SMRs, with a unit output ranging from 50 MWe to 1,900 MWe.
As part of our growth, we are looking for a talented Global Insurance Manager to lead, manage and coordinate our company’s insurance operations, policies, risk strategies, compliance, and to develop and implement insurance strategies while overseeing the claims process. This global role forms part of our Contract Management Function.
Responsibilities
* Create and implement strategies to effectively manage insurance risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and support organizational goals
* Manage day-to-day insurance operations, including policy management, risk assessment, and claims processing
* Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with insurance policies and operations and mitigate potential losses
* Procure and maintain adequate insurance coverage for the global company, including corporate and project-specific policies ( Liability, PDBI, EAR, MC, EL, etc. )
* Review and modify policies to meet organizational needs and comply with requirements; collaborate with shareholders on group programs
* Ensure local endorsements and renewals of policies; negotiate favorable terms with insurers and brokers
* Serve as the company’s interface to insurance brokers and optimize overall insurance premium costs
* Build and maintain internal networks for insurance data and a group-wide network of insurance managers
* Develop global insurance procedures, templates and processes; establish IT systems for insurance information, certificates and claim filing
* Oversee tendering and execution aspects of insurance for projects, including clauses, coverage, investigations, and recoveries
* Establish reporting systems for insurance strategies, cases, premiums, and cost control; regularly brief senior leadership
* Provide training and knowledge sharing on insurance coverage, tools, and claim management
Qualifications and Profile
* Advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance or Law
* 10 years of experience in the insurance market (corporate, broker or insurer)
* 5 years of experience in insurances specific to major infrastructure projects
* Relevant insurance certifications (e.g., CPCU, ARM) are a significant asset
* Expert understanding of Liability, PDBI, EAR, MC, EL (corporate and project-specific) insurance policies
* Strong project risk management and insurance claim management expertise
* Demonstrated ability to conduct high-level commercial negotiations
* Leadership and influencing skills across cross-functional teams
* Strong contract and contract law knowledge, especially for major infrastructure projects
* Solid understanding of nuclear energy project management, including technical, planning and financial principles
* Excellent communication and analytical skills with a collaborative mindset
* Ability to work independently and in a team; strong attention to detail and multi-priority management
* Proficient in MS Office; fluency in written and spoken English; French language skills are desired

* Salary: 13-month pay, annual bonus, profit-sharing depending on company results
