Our Financial Services Litigation Team
Within the Business Assurance Division, our team provides a complete range of debt recovery, insolvency, commercial litigation, and lending and banking disputes. We litigate in the Court of Session and Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland, utilizing cutting-edge technology within a centralized management structure to deliver excellent service. Our structure enables us to offer diverse litigation options while ensuring expertise in complex issues.
Our reputable team is looking to recruit a Paralegal. This position offers the chance to work with leading financial services organizations, providing quality recoveries and litigation services with a focus on client and customer satisfaction. You will play a key role in meeting Service Level Agreements and delivering an excellent client experience.
The Role
The primary responsibility is managing a caseload of defended court actions, mainly in debt recovery, and assisting in other dispute resolution matters as needed. The role is suitable for someone eager to learn new skills and expand their knowledge of Scottish litigation. Full training will be provided on handling financial services litigation cases and applying commercial strategies to reach conclusions.
Main Responsibilities
1. Manage inbound and outbound calls to achieve the best outcomes for clients, including negotiated settlements.
2. File management within the case management system to ensure cases are progressed promptly.
3. Accurately record information in the case management system and keep clients updated on case progress.
4. Ensure compliance with all relevant client and internal Service Level Agreements, diarize key dates and court hearings.
5. Draft basic court documents, including motions and minutes.
6. Maintain professionalism and politeness at all times.

* Previous experience in a legal environment handling volume work is desirable.
