What You Will Do:
* Best Interests Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments to determine decisions or actions that align with the needs of individuals who lack mental capacity, particularly in healthcare, accommodation, or treatment contexts.
* Mental Capacity Assessments: Carry out detailed mental capacity assessments and provide informed recommendations based on the results.
* Collaboration: Work effectively with other professionals to ensure that decisions respect the individual’s preferences and adhere to legal and holistic care perspectives.
* Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and best interests of vulnerable adults, ensuring decisions made safeguard their wellbeing and dignity.
* Expert Advice: Provide expert advice to families, carers, and healthcare professionals regarding mental capacity and best interests assessments.
* Care Plans: Assist in developing and reviewing care plans that comply with the Mental Capacity Act, ensuring they reflect the best interests of the individual.
