Director – Data & AI, MDM (Sectors Focus)
There has never been a been a better time to join the Technology & Data team at KPMG. Our clients are facing an inevitable surge in demand for timely, accurate insights along with agentic Ai implementations. This is amplifying the need to have high quality data, at the heart of which is Master Data Management, a discipline that has, until now, been overlooked and has suffered underinvestment. We are seeing unprecedented demand for MDM services across our client base who are looking for partners they can trust to architect their MDM solutions across complex technological landscapes. We are well positioned to do this alongside our technology alliance partners and now need to scale our capability in this area.
We are seeking a Director to join the leadership of our cross-industry Data & AI team as an MDM leader. You will bring considerable experience, a passion for client service, and a strong record in sales, entrepreneurship, and team leadership. This role suits someone who thrives on building lasting client relationships, delivering high-profile projects, and developing talent, while collaborating with technology partners to build enduring offerings.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
2. Act as a senior Data leader, shaping and delivering Data and AI solutions focused on our Corporates and Private Enterprise markets.
3. Build and deliver thought provoking points of view within the firm, at clients and across Industry, informing the future agenda for Ai driven MDM.
4. Provide visible leadership, coaching, and mentorship to team members, fostering growth, learning, and a client-first culture.
5. Solution Design and Delivery
6. Lead high-profile, complex programmes from strategy to implementation, across large Global Organisations
7. Build and manage relationships with senior client stakeholders, alliance partners (Informatica, Microsoft, Databricks), subcontractors, consortiums, and internal service lines.
8. Oversee delivery teams, ensuring technical excellence and translating complex ideas into actionable insights for clients.
9. Drive programmatic discipline into delivery engagements steering the teams and clients with a “value-led” mindset
10. Business Development
11. Identify, respond and convert opportunities by staying close to clients and other service lines, understanding challenges and shaping lasting solutions.
12. Develop and execute Go To Market strategies across the sector to expand our MDM footprint
13. Lead bids / RFPs from ideation to scoping, solutioning and pricing deals that maximise value for clients and KPMG.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
We are keen to hear from people with the right skills and mindset. We think that this means you will likely have a degree in a related field (such as Computer Science, Statistics or a related field) – but that is not a must.
If you have a degree in a different field, or no degree at all but significant professional experience in a related field, please consider applying
Certifications in technology such as Informatica, MS Purview, Tibco, Collibra are an advantage but not necessary, however an awareness of key market solutions and the evolving technology landscape will be advantageous.
