Key Responsibilities:
Carry out laboratory assays and analytical tests according to standard operating procedures.
Ensure the quality of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
Maintain accurate records of all laboratory activities and results in the QC database.
Oversee the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with quality management systems.
Coordinate external testing, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of samples.
Generate and review Certificates of Analysis.
Investigate and report any out-of-specification results.
Conduct regular laboratory audits and manage retained samples.
Review and verify formulations produced by the manufacturing team.
Adhere to health & safety and good laboratory practice at all times.
Contribute to ongoing process improvements and uphold quality and environmental standards.
Skills and experience:
A-levels or equivalent in a science subject (ideally chemistry or biology).
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a QC laboratory environment.
Familiarity with laboratory assays and analytical methods.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time.
Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
