Main duties of the job
Operatingfrom our main and branch sites in Keighley, we care for 20,000+ patients.
Our teamcomprises of 4 Partners and 7 Salaried GPs who are supported by our excellentteam of Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Pharmacists, Paramedics and ARRS rolesstaff including our Nurse Associate, Pharmacy Technicians, Social Prescribersand Physios as well as a large, experienced Nursing, Reception, Admin and ManagementTeam.
We have anexcellent record of recruiting newly qualified GPs into the practice. We prideourselves on being friendly and supportive. We have a duty doctor on hand eachday to help with any queries that may arise.
We arealways looking to improve our patients experience and have been keen to embracenew digital solutions to improve patient experience and access; havingimplemented a total triage system offering acute on the day appointments aswell as routine planned pre-booked appointments.

Ling HouseMedical Centre is a large GP practice based on the edge of Bronte country inKeighley, West Yorkshire. We have 2 sites, our main site is Ling House Medical Centre,and we have a smaller site, Mornington House which is adjacent to the mainbuilding.

Job responsibilities
Thepost-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needsin a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for allregistered and temporary patients.
ClinicalResponsibilities: In accordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, thepost-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of dutiesincluding surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visitingpatients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing withqueries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
Assessingthe health care needs of patients, making professional, autonomous decisions inrelation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from otherhealth care professional.
VisitingPatients in their own home when required
Recordingclear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
Collectingdata for audit purposes
Compilingand issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions
Prescribingin accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary (or generically).
The post-holderwill be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilitiesassociated with a GP working within primary care.

* Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
