Sprinkler Service Engineer
Location: Peterlee and surrounding areas
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum, plus additional earnings
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are recruiting on behalf of a respected national provider of fire and security solutions. Known for their high standards and excellent customer service, they are expanding their engineering team and seeking a skilled Sprinkler Service Engineer to join them. This role has been created due to internal movement, and the business is looking for someone who can hit the ground running and bring a wealth of knowledge in servicing and maintaining sprinkler systems.

The role of a Sprinkler Service Engineer:
As a Sprinkler Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and carrying out remedial work on a variety of commercial sites across Peterlee and the surrounding region. You will work independently, managing your own diary and ensuring client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out PPMs (Planned Preventive Maintenance), fault diagnosis, and small remedial works on sprinkler systems
* Travel within a designated area to service commercial clients
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with regular customers
* Ensure all systems are compliant with British Standards and health & safety regulations
* Plan and book visits directly with customers
* Work collaboratively with office-based staff to ensure smooth operations
* Participate in a designated on-call rota
Requirements:
* Proven experience working with sprinkler systems in a service and maintenance capacity
* Strong understanding of British Standards related to fire safety systems
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to work independently and manage your time efficiently
* A customer-focused approach with a commitment to high service standards
