Us
Crafted is a series of life-friendly hotels and spaces
where guests can be themselves and fill up on the good stuff: nature, food,
wellbeing, craft, people and play. We hope to open several hotels in the coming
years, with our first coming in summer 2025: Crafted at Powdermills, East
Sussex.

You

As Events Operations
Manager, you will oversee the flawless delivery of all events at Crafted,
including corporate functions, weddings, private celebrations, and creative
gatherings. Reporting to the Head of Membership & Events, you will ensure a
seamless guest experience while managing all operational aspects of event
execution.
You will work closely with
the Sales & Marketing and F&B teams to bring ideas to life and deliver
memorable, engaging events that reflect the Crafted brand.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of all
events, ensuring each one reflects both client expectations and Crafted’s
high standards
* Partner with the Sales & Marketing
team to develop compelling event packages and position Crafted at
Powdermills as a premier destination for events
* Collaborate with F&B and other
internal teams to create imaginative, bespoke experiences that align with
the Crafted ethos
* Recruit, train, and motivate event
staff, ensuring alignment with company values and delivery of consistently
excellent service
* Oversee all operational logistics,
including room setups, catering, technical requirements, scheduling, and
staffing
* Deliver a warm, proactive client
experience throughout each event, handling needs with care and
professionalism
* Manage event budgets effectively,
balancing cost control with quality delivery and profitability
* Coordinate with external suppliers and
vendors to ensure timely, high-quality support and services
* Ensure compliance with all health,
safety, and legal requirements, maintaining a safe and welcoming
environment
* Supervise on-site event setup and
breakdown, ensuring the space is restored promptly and to brand standards
* Troubleshoot any unexpected challenges
quickly and effectively to maintain guest satisfaction
* Gather and analyse guest feedback
post-event, using insights to refine future operations
About You
* 3+ years of hands-on event operations
experience, ideally within hotels, venues, or high-end hospitality
* A creative mindset with a passion for
curating standout corporate, social, and lifestyle events
* Proven ability to manage large-scale,
complex events with confidence and precision
* Skilled in budget management and
resource optimisation
* Exceptional attention to detail and
commitment to service excellence
* Strong organisational and
problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
* Experienced in supplier and vendor
coordination
* In-depth understanding of event health,
safety, and compliance requirements
* Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills, able to build strong relationships with clients and
colleagues
* Willingness to work evenings, weekends,
and holidays as required
* Local to Crafted at Powdermills or
willing to relocate
