The successful candidate will play a central role in building and maintaining strong positive relationships between the Club and the local community. This role will develop and lead the Club's community strategy, including the community outreach programme, and act as the main liaison with Brentford FC Community Sports Trust (BFCCST). The individual will work collaboratively within the business and closely with BFCCST to deliver the Club's community strategy, ensuring alignment with the Club's wider strategic objectives.

The Community Engagement Lead will oversee key projects such as the community outreach programme, support charitable initiatives, promote social causes, and ensure the club remains a good neighbour across all sites. The role involves identifying innovative community engagement methods to grow the fanbase.


Responsibilities include:

1. Supporting the development of the community engagement strategy and exploring new opportunities.
2. Ensuring community initiatives reflect the Club's values and reputation.
3. Acting as a key liaison with BFCCST for collaboration on shared goals.
4. Supporting BFCCST in delivering community programmes, including coordinating player appearances and marketing.
5. Assisting the Community Outreach Officer in delivering the outreach programme and meeting KPIs.
6. Raising awareness of community activities among fans and encouraging participation.
7. Responding to community enquiries and feedback from stakeholders.
8. Organising community engagement meetings with local residents and stakeholders.
9. Supporting community elements related to stadium development obligations.
10. Representing the Club at community events and forums.
11. Maintaining a database of community partners and measuring social impact.
12. Supporting the Head of Sustainability and Community in key projects.


General Club Accountabilities:

* Compliance with policies including safeguarding, health and safety, GDPR, PECR, and the Code of Conduct.
* Building professional relationships internally and externally.
* Maintaining confidentiality and a flexible work approach.
* Supporting mental health, wellbeing, and promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion.


Internal Relationships:

Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, Marketing Services, Communications, Operations, Player Liaison, Venue Sales, Safeguarding team.


Safeguarding Commitment:

All staff must undertake safeguarding training, follow policies, and contribute to a safe and inclusive environment. Appointments are subject to safer recruitment and DBS checks.


Candidate Requirements:

* Proven leadership in community relations, outreach, or stakeholder engagement, preferably in sport, non-profit, or public sectors.
* A passion for football and social impact.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
* Experience in staff management and development.
* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.


Desirable Characteristics:

* Knowledge of the football industry and social responsibility initiatives.
* Experience with foundations or charities linked to sports.
* Understanding of EDI principles.
