Description
Mental Health Support Worker (Night shift)
Location: Whitehaven and surrounding areas
Type: Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw)
Salary: £24,638 to £24,850 per year [pro rata for part time] plus benefits including Health Cash Plan!

We’re partnering with Everyturn Mental Health and Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust. Home Group is hiring Support Workers to assist individuals and communities across Whitehaven and Copeland, supporting those with mental health challenges to improve wellbeing and achieve goals.
Our services include specialist health, social care, and community support, such as drop-in services, local events, and short stay accommodation for people in crisis. If you’re passionate about making a difference and want to be part of a caring team, we’d love to hear from you!
Typical day as our Support Worker
* Assist customers with practical daily tasks to develop independence and support their goals.
* Help with activities like cooking, shopping, budgeting, maintaining tenancy, and moving to independent living.
* Conduct risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and reviews.
* Collaborate with other organizations to provide comprehensive support.

You bring
* A passion to support customers in living their best lives with attention to detail.
* Experience caring for others, whether in care roles or personal caregiving.
* Ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure, and be resilient.
* A flexible, personal approach, listening to customers’ needs.
* Own transport insured for business purposes (mileage paid).
