Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fine Art Driver to join our European Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the secure transport, handling, packing of high-value objects across Europe, the UK, and occasionally London.
This is a client-facing role requiring exceptional attention to detail, professionalism, and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
Safely transport fine art, antiques, and other high-value items between client sites, galleries, storage facilities, and events.
Load, unload, and pack artworks using best-practice art-handling techniques.
Carry out condition checks and ensure accurate documentation of works in transit.
Work collaboratively with art technicians, coordinators, and client representatives.
Maintain company vehicles to a high standard, ensuring compliance with safety and legal requirements.
Provide excellent customer service while always maintaining confidentiality.
Assist with installation and de-installation of artworks where required.
Ensure all relevant transport documentation is completed accurately, including customs paperwork where applicable.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 3 years experience in a fine art handling, logistics, or museum/gallery environment.
Strong knowledge of best practices in art packing, handling, and installation.
Valid drivers license Class 1 or Class 2 (Class 2 drivers working towards Class 1 will also be considered).
Proven experience driving within Europe, with a good understanding of long-distance and cross-border transport.
Good understanding of European transport requirements including carnets, T-Forms, and customs documentation.
Experience with European road transport including ferry and train crossings where required.
Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
Ability to spend extended periods working in Europe when required
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
