Dakota Hotel, based in Manchester City Centre, is seeking a strong administrator for the role of Reservationist.
CONTRACT AND PAY RATE
The role offers a permanent contract of a minimum of 40 hours per week. Typical shifts will be varied, working any 5 days out of 7, including weekends, with at least one weekend off per month. The gross annual salary is £27,000.00, plus an incentive-based bonus of up to £1,000.
PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Reporting to our Reservations Manager, work to maximize occupancy and bedroom rate.
* Deliver excellent guest service as a telephone and email reservationist, securing bookings for bedrooms and tables.
* Be knowledgeable about current special packages and upsell to increase revenue.
* Coordinate guest stays, tailoring experiences based on their needs, noting requests, and building profiles.
* Collaborate with Guest Relations and the Reception Team to recognize repeat guests, groups, and Lifestyle App members.
* Confidently use computers and develop a thorough knowledge of our booking systems.
* Provide consistently high levels of guest service in line with our principles and values.
* Assist guests with additional services beyond bookings, such as restaurant reservations and directions.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will have:
* At least one year of experience in hotel Reservations, Reception, or Guest Relations.
* Full computer literacy and quick learning ability for systems. Experience with property management systems like Opera or Shiji is preferred.
* Strong administrative skills, ability to work efficiently, and prioritize tasks.
* A commitment to high service standards, effective communication, and upselling techniques.
* An enthusiastic attitude promoting our positive culture.
* Attention to detail and pride in their work.
* Flexibility with shifts and availability to meet business needs.
* Research into our brand and a genuine interest in joining our team.
