We are an ambitious Finance team looking for a
Finance Manager
to work on management accounts and business partnering, the role will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our management accounts, enhance financial reporting and business partner with other departments.
This is a Hybrid role with two days per week being based in our Reading office.
About You
The role would suit a driven candidate with a with start up or scale up environment experience and a desire to be part of an innovative growth journey. We are looking for someone who embraces change and enjoys the challenge of utilising technology and their experience to optimise the finance function. We are a high growth company with strong investor focus, there will be opportunity to work outside of your defined role and across the business on interesting projects and tasks due to the nature of the business. You will be ACCA/ACA/CIMA part qualified with experience of working as a Finance Manager or similar.
What You Will Be Doing
You will manage core financial processes including the preparation of management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and managing fixed assets. The role also has a key focus in business partnering, working closely with department heads and operational teams to support informed decision-making through accurate financial insight and analysis.
* Review of P&L lines, departments and balance sheet reconciliations with responsibility for ensuring recorded transactions are complete and accurate.
* Managing the accounting for fixed assets, including capitalisation, depreciation, disposals, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies.
* Provide timely and accurate analysis to aid in Management Accounts preparation, including variance analysis and commentary
* Collaborate with departmental managers as a finance business partner, providing insight, analysis, and support to aid budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
* Participate in monthly review meetings with operational teams to explain financial performance and support strategic planning.
* Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete.
* Provision of reconciliations and supporting documentation/financial information related to the external and internal audit as necessary.
* Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement within the finance function
