We are seeking an experienced Personal Advisor (14+) to support young people preparing for independence and transitioning from care into adulthood.

Contract: 9 months+
Rate: £19.50 per hour (Umbrella)
You will work with young people aged 14+, providing advice, guidance and practical support as they prepare for independence and life after care. Working closely with social workers and partner agencies, you will play a key role in ensuring young people have safe accommodation, access to education, training or employment, and strong support networks.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as Personal Advisor for young people aged 14+ who are preparing to leave care
* Support young people post-care and promote successful transitions into adulthood
* Complete, review and maintain Pathway Plans, identifying needs, goals and outcomes
* Ensure young people are living in suitable accommodation
* Support engagement in education, training or employment
* Reduce social isolation by promoting positive relationships and support networks
* Advocate on behalf of young people and promote their independence and wellbeing
Essential Requirements
* Experience working with care-experienced young people aged 14+
* Strong understanding of Pathway Planning and leaving care legislation
* Ability to build positive, professional relationships with young people
* Experience working within a local authority or similar setting
* Strong communication, organisation and case management skills
