Job Summary
Join the Marine team in Operations Catchment Services to support evidence‑based decisions, model bathing water quality, assess the impact of discharges, and work collaboratively with technical specialists.
Responsibilities
* Review reports and summarise key information for decision‑making
* Interpret monitoring data and model outputs to support environmental protection
* Summarise and communicate technical work, escalating challenges when needed
* Use data to inform water quality models
* Build strong relationships across a dispersed team and with external partners
* Apply sound records management principals
* Participate in incident response, with full training and support (additional payment and flexible arrangements may apply)
Qualifications
* Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline; professional membership or working toward membership desirable
* Experience in data analysis, modelling software, and tools such as Excel, Access, R, Power BI, GIS, Mike or Cormix (advantageous)
* Comfortable working in a virtual team, with occasional travel for national meetings
* Strong communication skills – able to review complex reports and convey key issues to non‑technical audiences
* Ability to use initiative to contribute to team and wider organisational goals

Rotherham, England, United Kingdom – £25,000.00 – £25,000.00
