With a reputation for technical excellence and a collaborative, can-do approach, they support high-profile productions across the UK and internationally.Their team is passionate, friendly and proud of the work they doand they offer a supportive culture where flexibility and wellbeing are genuinely valued.The OpportunityReporting directly into the Financial Controller, the Finance Assistant is a vital member of the Finance function and plays a pivotal role in the smooth operation of the financial processes.From assisting with day to day accounting tasks, to supporting the Financial Controller in payroll and audit processes, this role is instrumental in contributing towards the accuracy, efficiency and integrity of the financial operations of the business. Responsibilities include:AccountingAccurately process all sales and purchase invoices, ensuring all documentation and approvalsProcess and management of staff expenses, ensuring these are within policy and properly loggedProcess all incoming & outgoing payments, including reconciling bank statements and petty cashProvide credit control management by monitoring and chasing outstanding sales invoicesCreating payment run for purchase invoices on a weekly basisRegularly reviewing PO system and ensuring the accuracy and close down status of eachEnsuring sales invoices are paid on timeData Entry & BookkeepingProcess financial transactions, maintain ledgers (sales, purchase and nominal) and update accounting systemsReporting & AuditCreate reports for senior management, includingView of jobs where sales invoices arent yet raisedOutstanding sales invoicesAging debtors and aging creditors reportsAssisting with annual audit through sourcing and collation of information requested and uploading into portalAssisting with preparation of monthly management reports and other financial reports as requiredGeneral Administrative dutiesMaintaining financial records, scanning documents, and other administrative duties to support the Finance TeamStakeholder EngagementAnswering queries from the wider business, including purchase and sales queriesActively participating in the ongoing continuous improvement of the Finance team and support provided to senior management and the wider business, including process improvementsProvide cover for the Financial Controller when they are away/out of the officeThe CandidateAs Finance Assistant, youll be a solid pair of hands with proven experience in a similar role and perhaps an interest in stepping up in the future.EssentialAAT qualified (or currently studying towards) so current with global finance laws and processes.Basic Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of fundamental accounting concepts and double-entry bookkeepingData Entry and Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software and data entryAttention to Detail: Accuracy in recording and processing financial informationCommunication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and external partiesOrganisation Skills: Managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectivelyTeamwork: Working collaboratively with other members of the finance teamHigh analytical skills with a great attention to detail and accuracy is essentialDesirable:Experience with AccountsIQ accounting softwareKnowledge of UK financial regulations and compliance requirementsTermsThe role is offered on a permanent, part or full time basis.The role is seeking a minimum of 30 hrs (over 5 days) up to full time (35 hrs).A competitive salary of £29k-34k fte* is on offer depending on experience.The role is based in Tring with hybrid working an option (3 office, 2 home).The company offers a range of benefits and perks including:Vitality Health Insurance plan25 days Annual Leave plus Bank HolidaysCompany Pension PlanDeath in Service InsuranceIncome Protection SchemeCompany Car Salary Sacrifice SchemeFree onsite parking &Free fair-use EV chargingCycle SchemePet-friendly officeWhy Apply?This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business thats going placesand to do it in a role where your work genuinely makes a difference every day.
