Job Description
Position: Full-time Temporary Admin Officer
Location: Appleby-In-Westmorland CA16 6TT
Contract: 3 months with the possibility of extension
Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 7.30am - 3pm
Hourly Rate: £12.50 per hour
Responsibilities
* Provide accurate, efficient, and effective administrative support to the line manager, working as directed or using own initiative as the situation demands.
* Administer rosters and timesheets.
* Update systems, databases, and records accurately, including opening/closing work orders as directed.
* Support the administration of the Assessment in The Line process.
* Set up and maintain efficient filing systems, paying attention to confidentiality and safety-critical documents.
* Undertake general office administration duties for the Section Manager.
* Support and assist other Section Administrator positions as directed.
Requirements
* Strong customer service skills and confidence in dealing with the public.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Teams.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Knowledge of the operational railway environment is advantageous.
* Accessible by bus, train, or car.
