SHW is an independent multi-disciplined property real estate advisory business.
We are currently recruiting for a IT Helpdesk Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of the IT systems and provide user helpdesk support.
Key responsibilities:
Work with the rest of the IT team to support and maintain the day to day running of the IT system and helpdesk, supporting all members of SHW with both hardware and software issues and queries. Oversee the support ticketing system ensuring tickets are picked up and handled / allocated efficiently.
Communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation and 3rd parties via various methods e.g. email, phone and in person. Responsibility for a variety of tasks which may include the following:
Administration Tasks
* Day to Day administration of the SHW Network
* General administration within the IT team
* Involvement in starter and leaver processes and equipment
* Follow procedures, processes and keep systems including the asset list, knowledge base, and change management systems updated
* Prioritise workload, ensuring urgent requests receive priority attention where necessary
* Regular feedback to the rest of the IT team
Helpdesk
* Oversee the support ticket allocation and check open tickets for outstanding action.
* Answer support questions via email, phone and in-person and liaise with 3rd party helpdesks
* Proactively help users with software use and answer queries
* Perform tasks to resolve faults
* Regularly attend all SHW offices for onsite troubleshooting, support and meeting staff, ensuring hardware kept updated and spares audited.
* Hardware repairs / replacement / configuration
* Log issues in IT Ticket log and regularly review outstanding issues.
Projects
* Assist with various project work
* Report actions and progress
* Attend regular IT Team meetings and project meetings as required
Training
* General software help
* General printer / computer / telephony and peripheral usage help
* Induction and other training to users of all abilities
Telephones / Mobiles
* Support of mobiles and landlines, faults, warranty swaps, ordering, setting up, escalating to 3rd party support when relevant
Personal specification, knowledge, skills and experience required:
Essential Skills;
* Good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation and comfortable using a phone, email and approaching people in the office
* Experience in an IT support role, working with Microsoft operating systems and O365 applications and able and willing to learn other systems as necessary
* Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Entra and security protocols.
* Knowledge of (or keen to learn) Java, Power Automate, Flows, SharePoint and other Microsoft products
* Ability to learn the essentials of new software packages, to be able to provide support and liaise with 3rd party suppliers where necessary
* Adaptable, comfortable with change
* Flexibility to travel between sites across London and the South East required, with regular office visits.
* Ability to work on own initiative and keen to learn new skills.
