Prospero Teaching is seeking a compassionate and committed SEN Tutor to deliver bespoke 1:1 education packages to young people in Maghull and surrounding areas who are currently not attending mainstream education.
This role is ideal for an experienced teacher or tutor who is passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs and is looking to step away from the classroom to provide more personalised and engaging learning.
About the Role
As a SEN Tutor, you will:
Plan and deliver tailored 1:1 lessons to meet individual learning needs
Support pupils who may have gaps in their education and low confidence levels
Re‑engage learners who have been out of education for extended periods
Help restore structure and routine to pupils' daily lives
Adapt teaching strategies to suit a range of SEN needs
Work closely with Prospero Teaching to monitor progress and outcomes

Rate of pay: Minimum £25 per hour
Session length: 1-3 hours per session
Experience, Training & Qualifications
QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent qualification
Minimum 6 months' experience working within a UK school setting
Up-to-date safeguarding training (desirable but not essential)
To Be Eligible Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS with the child barred list registered on the update service, or be willing to apply for one
Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
